Welcome To Holme Veterinary Centre
Operations are performed in our dedicated theatres. Most patients return home the same day. We may recommend a pre-anaesthetic blood test to help assess & minimise any risk associated with anaesthesia & surgery – your vet or nurse will discuss this with you on a case-by case basis.
As standard, we provide intravenous fluid & full monitoring during anaesthesia by a qualified veterinary nurse.
They will recover in a warm, quiet & comfortable environment & go home as soon as they are ready.
Occasionally pets may need to stay overnight, if they are particularly unwell or receiving fluid therapy or medicines throughout the night. Sometimes, it is appropriate for them to stay at our surgery but if they require intensive monitoring, we may transfer them to our out-of-hours provider.
This is assessed on a case-by-case basis, with our focus always being on what offers your pet the best level of care & quickest recovery.
Occasionally pets require treatment or facilities beyond that which we can offer. On these occasions we will only send you & your pet to a specialist we trust to ofer the highest level of care.
Established in 2003 by principle vet Andy Jennings, Holme Veterinary Centre is an independent first opinion practice. Andy Jennings has a wealth of experience in small animals, horses and farm animals.
We believe in focussing upon the prevention of disease as much as its treatment and we understand the crucial role that you can play in prolonging your pet’s life. The team is dedicated to providing you and your pet with the highest quality of care in a professional and friendly approach. Our expert team of vets, nurses and support staff are always on hand to offer you an excellent service.
We are proud to be an approved training practice for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and an approved member of the Royal College Practice Standards Scheme.
